Celestia is a pasion
Behind our work stands a deep respect for art, history, and traditional craftsmanship.
I am a trained art historian, holding a Master’s degree in Art History, with several years of professional experience in the conservation of historical monuments and movable works of art. My career began in the field of heritage conservation, where I had the rare opportunity to work directly with centuries-old masterpieces and traditional techniques that have been passed down through generations.
For many years, I worked on the conservation, restoration, and gilding of Baroque altars in Poland — an experience that shaped both my technical expertise and my artistic sensitivity. My work included traditional gold leaf gilding of picture frames, columns, stucco decorations, putti, acanthus leaves, architectural details, and ornamental elements found in historic interiors. Each project required precision, patience, and deep respect for original materials and historical context.
The works I contributed to were admired not only by visitors and art lovers, but also by demanding clients and specialists within the conservation studios I collaborated with. This recognition confirmed my belief that true craftsmanship lies in detail, discipline, and authenticity.
Today, I am returning to this vocation — combining my academic background with hands-on experience in traditional techniques — to create and curate objects that carry the spirit of European artistic heritage. Every piece offered through this store is rooted in time-honored methods, inspired by historical forms, and executed with the same care once reserved for sacred and monumental works.
This is not mass production.
This is craftsmanship with history, intention, and soul.
Our work is rooted in tradition, guided by knowledge, and executed with absolute respect for materials, process, and history.
I am a trained art historian holding a Master’s degree in Art History, with many years of professional experience in the conservation of historic monuments and movable works of art. My background combines academic education with hands-on practice acquired through years of work in professional conservation studios, where precision, responsibility, and respect for original techniques were essential.
A significant part of my career has been dedicated to traditional gilding and restoration techniques, particularly in the conservation of Baroque altars and architectural decoration in historic churches in Poland. I worked extensively on the gilding of picture frames, columns, capitals, stucco elements, putti, acanthus ornaments, cornices, and sculptural details — always in close dialogue with the original form, material, and historical context.
I work using classical gilding techniques, including water gilding and oil gilding, carefully selecting the appropriate method for each surface and purpose. Every stage of the process — from surface preparation, ground layers, bole application, gilding, burnishing, and final finishing — is carried out under my direct supervision. This ensures full control over quality, durability, and aesthetic integrity of the work.
Only high-quality, proven materials are used in my practice: natural binders, traditional grounds, and carefully sourced gold leaf and pigments. Wherever possible, I rely on natural and environmentally responsible materials, choosing solutions that are both safe for historic objects and respectful of the surrounding environment. These time-tested methods are not only authentic but also inherently sustainable, avoiding aggressive chemicals and irreversible interventions.
My approach emphasizes responsibility and care — both toward the artwork itself and toward future generations. Conservation and gilding are not about shortcuts or mass production; they require patience, discipline, and a deep understanding of how materials behave over time.
The works I contributed to have been appreciated by viewers, clients, and professionals within the conservation field, reinforcing my belief that true craftsmanship lies in precision, restraint, and respect for tradition.
Today, I return to this vocation with renewed focus — combining historical knowledge, traditional techniques, and contemporary awareness of quality and sustainability. Each piece presented here reflects this philosophy: work created slowly, consciously, and with full control over every detail.
This is craftsmanship shaped by history, guided by expertise, and carried out with intention.
Putto - Art with Maning
Our newest collection features putti, inspired by the great tradition of Italian Renaissance art and further developed in the expressive spirit of the Baroque period. Each putto is entirely hand-carved from wood and finished with exceptional care.
The sculptures are hand-painted using high-quality, safe pigments and decorated with genuine 24-karat gold leaf, applied using traditional water-gilding and oil-gilding techniques. These historic methods create a depth, warmth, and elegance that cannot be replicated by modern shortcuts.
A Truly Personal Keepsake
What makes our work truly unique is personalization. Each sculpture can be engraved with a child’s name, date of birth, and place of birth, transforming it into a one-of-a-kind keepsake. This makes our putti especially meaningful as gifts to celebrate births, baptisms, and family milestones.
Every sculpture is made to order and can be further customized to meet individual wishes. No two pieces are ever the same — each one is created as a lasting symbol of love, memory, and emotional connection.
